Trump wants to claim he defeated ISIS.  Trump wants to make it difficult for President Biden to take over.  We are witnessing seriously treasonous behavior. Trump and his enablers are sabotaging our government.

The Pentagon policy official overseeing the military’s efforts to combat the Islamic State was fired on November 30, 2020 after a White House appointee told him the United States had won that war and that his office had been disbanded....

Another attack on non-partisan competence. The Pentagon's Defense Business Board is made up of leaders from government, the private sector and academia. For example, the Dean of the top-ranked school of public policy in the country.

The White House removed nine members of the Pentagon's Defense Business Board on Friday [December 4, 2020] and installed people loyal to Trump in their place, including presidential allies Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie.

Following a historic Presidental election in which President-elect Biden crushed Trump, Smart Dissent took three weeks off from new posts after not taking a week off since February 2017.  We're back with new additions to our database because Trump and Republicans continue to undermine our nation on their way out.  We hope to not need to add nearly as much as we get into 2021 but will post as needed.

A $1 billion fund Congress gave the Pentagon in March to build up the country’s supplies of medical equipment has instead been mostly funneled to defense contractors and used to make things such as jet engine parts, body armor and dress uniforms.

In another self serving transaction for Trump and his re-election campaign comes a tax cut for military service members who will receive bigger paychecks for the last few months of the year. The catch? They have to pay ALL the money back in 2021.

This is the biggest story of last week that ABSOLUTELY NO ONE COVERED:

Two top Department of Homeland Security political appointees tried to get the White House to do more on right-wing terrorism. Both gave up on the Trump administration and have now endorsed Biden.

The State Dept bypassed Congress to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia and others without ensuring they won’t be used against civilians.

The State Department did not fully consider the risk of civilian casualties when it approved more than $8 billion in arms sales to Middle Eastern countries last year...

This is how stunningly weak America has become and how disastrous Trump’s Iran strategy is viewed by the rest of the world.
