It can be a struggle in daily conversations to explain the real life impact this election has every day on the decisions being made to govern our society. This election has put numerous individuals in positions of real, tangible power who are spending every hour of every day implementing policies in an efficient, destructive manner. They are doing the exact things their prior words, actions, and lobbyist bosses should have made obvious.

Dictators stay in power by not allowing a vote for their position at all or staging an "election" that is controlled in a manner that pre-determines the results. In the United States, something so brazen seems unimaginable.

The climate-change-denying White House has little use for science. So it should infuriating all of us - but unfortunately not surprising - that the science department within the White House is now unstaffed.
The science division of the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) was unstaffed as of Friday as the three remaining employees departed this week.... All three employees were holdovers from the Obama administration.

In early February, Betsy DeVos was confirmed as Education Secretary. Two Republicans, Senators Murkowski (AK) and Collins (ME), joined the entire Democratic caucus to force an historic tie-breaking vote from Vice President Pence. Read more at this link. Her installation to a position of power over our education system means she spends every day implementing policies with destructive consequences for our country.
